My paintings are created through a conversation between the externalization of internal landscapes and the internalization of external landscapes. This dance of perspective creates collage-like layers that blend subject, space and time. It is my belief that my work as an artist is not to define, but to reveal.

 I actively strive to participate in the organic unfolding of a piece as opposed to simply materializing an idea that I take to be my own. This kind of creation is one which desires to be in relationship with the external landscapes that emerge on canvas – letting the art tell its own story, trusting in the being of the art and its direction – while still making an individual contribution as the one helping to give it its final expression.
